Cape Sable Lighthouse
Cape Sable Lighthouse is located on Cape Sable Island in Nova Scotia, Canada. Built in 1851, it stands at 21 meters tall and is one of the oldest lighthouses in the region. The lighthouse was constructed to guide ships safely through the treacherous waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
The lighthouse features a distinctive white tower with a red top, making it easily recognizable. It was automated in 1988, which means it no longer requires a keeper to operate. Today, Cape Sable Lighthouse is a popular tourist attraction and is part of the Cape Sable Island community's rich maritime history.
