Cape Point Lighthouse
Cape Point Lighthouse is located at the southern tip of the Cape Peninsula in South Africa. Built in 1859, it stands 238 meters above sea level and is known for its stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and Indian Ocean. The lighthouse was constructed to guide ships navigating the treacherous waters around the cape.
The original lighthouse was replaced in 1919 due to frequent fog and storms that obscured its light. Today, visitors can reach the lighthouse via a steep path or a funicular railway, making it a popular tourist destination for those exploring the Table Mountain National Park.
