Cape Colony
Cape Colony was a historical region located at the southern tip of Africa, primarily in what is now South Africa. Established by the Dutch East India Company in 1652, it served as a supply station for ships traveling to Asia. The colony grew over time, attracting settlers and becoming a key area for agriculture and trade.
In the 19th century, Cape Colony became a focal point for conflicts between European settlers and indigenous groups, such as the Xhosa people. It was officially annexed by the British Empire in 1806, leading to significant social and political changes that shaped the region's history.
