Cap'n Jazz
Cap'n Jazz is an American emo band formed in 1989 in Chicago, Illinois. The group is known for its energetic sound and complex song structures, blending elements of punk rock and jazz influences. The band's lineup included members such as Tim Kinsella and Mike Kinsella, who later went on to form other notable bands like American Football and Joan of Arc.
The band released one studio album, titled "Analphabetapolothology," in 1998, which is a compilation of their earlier work. Although they disbanded in 1995, Cap'n Jazz has had a lasting impact on the emo genre and continues to influence many contemporary bands. Their music is characterized by heartfelt lyrics and a raw, DIY aesthetic.
