Cano Cristales
Cano Cristales is a river located in the Sierra de la Macarena National Park in Colombia. Known as the "River of Five Colors," it features vibrant hues of red, yellow, green, blue, and black, primarily due to the unique aquatic plant Macarenia clavigera. This natural phenomenon occurs during the wet season, typically from June to November, when the water levels drop, allowing the plants to flourish.
The river stretches approximately 100 kilometers and is surrounded by stunning landscapes, including waterfalls and diverse wildlife. Cano Cristales is a popular destination for eco-tourism, attracting visitors who wish to experience its breathtaking beauty and unique ecosystem.
