Canadian Jewish Congress
The Canadian Jewish Congress (CJC) was an organization established in 1919 to represent the interests of the Jewish community in Canada. It aimed to address issues such as anti-Semitism, promote Jewish culture, and advocate for civil rights. The CJC played a significant role in various social and political matters, including immigration policies and community welfare.
In 2011, the CJC was dissolved, and its functions were absorbed by the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA). The CIJA continues to advocate for Jewish Canadians and address community concerns, ensuring that the legacy of the CJC lives on in a new form.
