Camille Flammarion
Camille Flammarion was a French astronomer, author, and popularizer of science, born on February 26, 1842. He is best known for his work in astronomy and his efforts to make complex scientific concepts accessible to the general public. Flammarion founded the Société Astronomique de France and wrote numerous books, including the influential "L'Atmosphère," which explored the Earth's atmosphere and celestial phenomena.
In addition to his scientific contributions, Flammarion was fascinated by the idea of extraterrestrial life and the possibility of life on other planets.
