Calf Roping
Calf roping is a rodeo event where a rider on horseback chases a calf and attempts to catch it using a lasso. The rider throws the lasso to loop the calf's neck, then dismounts quickly to tie three of the calf's legs together. The goal is to complete this process as quickly as possible.
This event tests the skills of both the horse and the rider. It requires precision, speed, and teamwork. Calf roping is often part of larger rodeo competitions, showcasing the traditional skills of cowboys and cowgirls in ranching and livestock handling.
