Cahuilla language
The Cahuilla language is a member of the Uto-Aztecan language family, primarily spoken by the Cahuilla people in Southern California. It is an endangered language, with only a few fluent speakers remaining, as younger generations increasingly adopt English.
Cahuilla is known for its complex verb system and rich vocabulary related to the natural environment. Efforts are being made to revitalize the language through educational programs and community initiatives, aiming to preserve this important aspect of Cahuilla culture for future generations.
