Cabbage White
The Cabbage White is a common butterfly belonging to the family Pieridae. It is primarily found in North America and Europe, where it is often seen in gardens and agricultural fields. The adult butterfly has white wings with black spots, and its caterpillars are green, feeding mainly on plants in the Brassicaceae family, such as cabbage and broccoli.
These butterflies undergo complete metamorphosis, starting as eggs, then transforming into caterpillars, pupae, and finally adults. Cabbage Whites are important pollinators, but their larvae can be pests for farmers, as they can damage crops significantly if not managed properly.
