CT-Scans
A CT scan, or computed tomography scan, is a medical imaging technique that combines X-ray images taken from different angles to create cross-sectional views of the body. This allows doctors to see detailed images of internal organs, bones, and tissues, helping in the diagnosis of various conditions.
During a CT scan, the patient lies on a table that moves through a large, doughnut-shaped machine. The scan is quick and painless, typically lasting only a few minutes. The resulting images can help identify issues such as tumors, fractures, or internal bleeding, guiding treatment decisions.
