CHED
The Commission on Higher Education, or CHED, is a government agency in the Philippines responsible for overseeing and regulating higher education institutions. Established in 1994, its main goal is to ensure quality education and promote academic excellence across colleges and universities in the country. CHED develops policies, sets standards, and provides funding for various educational programs.
In addition to regulating institutions, CHED also focuses on improving access to higher education for all Filipinos. It implements scholarship programs and initiatives to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. By fostering partnerships with local and international organizations, CHED aims to enhance the overall quality of higher education in the Philippines.
