CENELEC
CENELEC, or the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization, is an organization responsible for developing and maintaining standards for electrical and electronic products in Europe. Established in 1973, it aims to ensure safety, interoperability, and efficiency in the electrical sector, facilitating trade and enhancing consumer protection across member countries.
CENELEC works closely with other standardization bodies, such as ISO and IEC, to create harmonized standards that can be adopted across Europe. Its standards cover a wide range of areas, including energy, telecommunications, and consumer electronics, promoting innovation and sustainability in the electrical industry.
