CAT7
CAT7, or Category 7, is a type of Ethernet cable designed for high-speed data transmission. It supports frequencies of up to 600 MHz and can transmit data at speeds of 10 Gbps over distances of up to 100 meters. This makes it suitable for demanding applications like data centers and enterprise networks.
Unlike its predecessors, CAT6 and CAT6a, CAT7 features improved shielding to reduce interference and crosstalk. It uses a S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) design, which provides better protection against external noise. This makes CAT7 a reliable choice for environments with high electromagnetic interference.
