C minor scale
The C minor scale is a musical scale that consists of the notes C, D, E♭, F, G, A♭, and B♭. It is known for its darker and more somber sound compared to major scales. The scale follows a specific pattern of whole and half steps: whole, half, whole, whole, half, whole, whole.
In addition to the natural form, the C minor scale can also be played in two other variations: the harmonic minor and the melodic minor. The harmonic minor raises the seventh note (B♭ to B) to create a leading tone, while the melodic minor raises both the sixth and seventh notes (A♭ to A and B♭ to B) when ascending, and reverts to the natural form when descending.
