Côa Valley Archaeological Park
The Côa Valley Archaeological Park is located in northeastern Portugal and is renowned for its prehistoric rock art. The park features thousands of engravings created by ancient communities, dating back to the Upper Paleolithic period, around 25,000 years ago. These artworks provide valuable insights into the lives and beliefs of early humans.
Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998, the park spans over 1,000 square kilometers.
