C/2007 N3
C/2007 N3 is a long-period comet discovered on July 13, 2007, by astronomers using the Mt. Lemmon Survey. It is classified as a non-periodic comet, meaning it has an orbit that takes it far beyond the outer planets and is not expected to return to the inner solar system.
The comet reached its closest approach to the Sun, known as perihelion, on December 1, 2008. During this time, it became visible to observers on Earth, showcasing a bright coma and tail, typical features of comets as they approach the Sun and heat up.
