Butt Joints
A butt joint is a type of joint used in woodworking and metalworking where two pieces of material are joined end-to-end or edge-to-edge. This joint is simple to create, as it requires no special shaping of the edges. Butt joints can be reinforced with adhesives, screws, or nails to enhance their strength.
While butt joints are easy to make, they may not be as strong as other joint types, such as dovetail joints or mortise and tenon joints. They are commonly used in various applications, including furniture construction and framing, due to their straightforward design and ease of assembly.
