Butch Cassidy, born Robert LeRoy Parker in 1866, was an American outlaw and leader of the Wild Bunch gang in the late 19th century. He became famous for his bank and train robberies across the American West, particularly in Wyoming and Utah. Cassidy was known for his charm and intelligence, which helped him evade capture for many years. In 1901, Cassidy and his partner, Sundance Kid, fled to South America to escape law enforcement. They continued their criminal activities there but eventually faced challenges from local authorities.
