Bud Grafting
Bud grafting is a horticultural technique used to propagate plants by joining a bud from one plant onto the stem of another. This method allows the new plant to inherit the desirable traits of the donor plant, such as fruit quality or disease resistance, while benefiting from the root system of the host plant.
The process involves making a precise cut on the host plant to create a small opening, where the selected bud is inserted and secured. After a period of healing, the bud will grow into a new shoot, effectively combining the characteristics of both plants into one.
