Bubo bubo
The Eurasian Eagle Owl, scientifically known as Bubo bubo, is one of the largest owl species in the world. It is characterized by its striking orange eyes, tufted ear-like feathers, and mottled brown plumage. This nocturnal bird primarily inhabits forests, mountains, and rocky areas across Europe, Asia, and parts of North Africa.
Bubo bubo is a skilled predator, feeding mainly on small mammals, birds, and occasionally reptiles. Its powerful talons and keen eyesight make it an effective hunter at night. This owl is also known for its deep, resonant calls, which can be heard over long distances, especially during the breeding season.
