Brussels World's Fair
The Brussels World's Fair, officially known as the Expo 58, was a major international exhibition held in Brussels, Belgium, from April 17 to October 19, 1958. It marked the first major world's fair after World War II and showcased advancements in technology, culture, and industry. The event attracted over 2 million visitors and featured pavilions from 41 countries.
One of the most iconic structures from the fair is the Atomium, a unique building designed to resemble an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times. The Atomium has since become a symbol of Brussels and a popular tourist attraction. The fair emphasized themes of peace, progress, and international cooperation.
