Bruny Island white wallaby
The Bruny Island white wallaby is a unique subspecies of the white wallaby found exclusively on Bruny Island in Tasmania, Australia. These small marsupials are characterized by their striking white fur, which is a result of a genetic mutation. They are similar in size to the common wallaby but have a more slender build and distinctive pale coloration.
These wallabies primarily feed on grasses, leaves, and shrubs, making them herbivorous. They are most active during dawn and dusk, which is typical behavior for many wallaby species. Conservation efforts are in place to protect their habitat and ensure the survival of this rare animal.
