Bruno Schulz
Bruno Schulz was a Polish-Jewish writer and artist, born on July 12, 1892, in Drohobych, which is now part of Ukraine. He is best known for his unique literary style, characterized by rich imagery and surreal elements. His most famous works include the collections The Street of Crocodiles and Sanatorium Under the Sign of the Hourglass.
Schulz's life was tragically cut short when he was murdered by the Nazis in 1942 during the Holocaust. Despite his brief career, his influence on literature and art has been significant, inspiring many writers and artists, including Franz Kafka and David Foster Wallace.
