Brothers of Italy
The "Brothers of Italy" (Fratelli d'Italia) is a political party in Italy, founded in 2012. It emerged from the remnants of the National Alliance, a party with roots in Italy's post-fascist movement. The party positions itself on the right of the political spectrum, advocating for national sovereignty, traditional values, and a strong stance on immigration.
In the 2022 general elections, the Brothers of Italy gained significant support, becoming the leading party in the coalition government. Its leader, Giorgia Meloni, made history by becoming Italy's first female Prime Minister. The party emphasizes patriotism and economic growth while maintaining a critical view of the European Union.
