Brooke Foss Westcott
Brooke Foss Westcott (1825-1901) was an English theologian and biblical scholar known for his contributions to the study of the New Testament. He served as the Bishop of Durham and was a prominent figure in the Cambridge school of biblical criticism. Westcott is best known for his work on the Westcott-Hort Greek New Testament, which aimed to provide a more accurate text of the New Testament based on earlier manuscripts.
