Bronchial Procedures
Bronchial procedures are medical techniques used to examine and treat conditions affecting the bronchi, the large air passages from the trachea to the lungs. These procedures can include bronchoscopy, where a thin tube with a camera is inserted into the airways to visualize and collect samples from the lungs.
Other bronchial procedures may involve bronchial thermoplasty, a treatment for severe asthma that reduces the smooth muscle in the airways, or endobronchial ultrasound, which helps in diagnosing lung diseases by using sound waves to create images of the lungs and surrounding structures.
