British Phonographic Industry
The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) is the trade organization that represents the interests of the recorded music industry in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1973, it works to promote and protect the rights of its members, which include record labels and music companies. The BPI is also responsible for the certification of music sales, including the well-known Brit Awards.
In addition to its advocacy work, the BPI plays a key role in supporting the growth of the music industry through various initiatives. It provides resources and guidance on issues like copyright and digital distribution, helping artists and labels navigate the evolving landscape of the music business.
