British Ice Hockey Superleague
The British Ice Hockey Superleague (BSL) was a professional ice hockey league in the United Kingdom, operating from 1996 to 2003. It was the top level of ice hockey in Britain, featuring teams from England, Scotland, and Wales. The league aimed to improve the standard of play and increase the popularity of ice hockey in the UK.
The BSL was succeeded by the {Elite Ice Hockey League} (EIHL) in 2003, which continues to be the premier ice hockey league in the UK today. The Superleague played a significant role in developing British ice hockey and fostering local talent during its existence.
