British Gliding Association
The British Gliding Association (BGA) is the national governing body for the sport of gliding in the United Kingdom. Established in 1930, it promotes and supports gliding activities, ensuring safety and standards across the sport. The BGA also provides training and resources for pilots and clubs, helping to develop skills and knowledge in gliding.
In addition to overseeing competitions and events, the BGA works to increase public awareness and participation in gliding. It collaborates with various organizations to enhance facilities and promote the benefits of this unique aerial sport, which relies on natural air currents for flight.
