Bristol Type 167 Brabazon
The Bristol Type 167 Brabazon was a large passenger aircraft developed in the 1940s by the Bristol Aeroplane Company. Designed for transatlantic flights, it featured a distinctive high-wing configuration and was intended to carry up to 100 passengers. The aircraft was named after the 1st Viscount Brabazon of Tara, a prominent figure in British aviation.
Despite its innovative design and advanced technology, the Brabazon faced challenges in the post-war aviation market. Only one prototype was built, and it never entered commercial service due to changing airline needs and competition from smaller, more efficient aircraft.
