Brigade Combat Team
A Brigade Combat Team (BCT) is a key unit in the United States Army, designed to be a self-sufficient force capable of conducting various military operations. Each BCT typically consists of around 3,500 to 4,000 soldiers and includes combined arms elements such as infantry, armor, and artillery. This structure allows for flexibility and rapid response in diverse combat situations.
BCTs are organized into three main types: Infantry BCT, Armored BCT, and Stryker BCT. Each type is tailored for specific missions and environments, ensuring that the Army can effectively engage in both conventional and unconventional warfare. The BCT is a fundamental building block of the Army's operational capability.
