Brigade Anti-Criminalité
The Brigade Anti-Criminalité (BAC) is a specialized unit within the French National Police focused on combating urban crime. Established in the 1990s, the BAC operates primarily in high-crime areas, employing proactive policing strategies to deter criminal activities such as drug trafficking and theft.
Members of the BAC are trained to respond quickly to incidents and often work in plain clothes to blend in with the community. Their approach emphasizes intelligence gathering and community engagement, aiming to build trust and cooperation with local residents while effectively addressing crime-related issues.
