Breton language
The Breton language is a Celtic language spoken primarily in the region of Brittany in northwestern France. It is one of the few surviving Celtic languages, alongside Welsh and Irish. Breton has its own unique grammar and vocabulary, influenced by both French and the ancient languages of the Celts.
Breton is recognized as a regional language and has seen efforts for revitalization, especially in education and media. While the number of speakers has declined over the years, various organizations work to promote its use and preserve its cultural significance in Brittany and beyond.
