Breda Ba.44
The Breda Ba.44 was an Italian fighter aircraft developed in the late 1930s by Breda, a prominent aircraft manufacturer. Designed as a single-seat monoplane, it featured a low-wing configuration and was powered by a Piaggio radial engine. The aircraft was intended for both air superiority and ground attack roles.
Although the Breda Ba.44 had innovative features, including retractable landing gear, it faced challenges in performance and was ultimately overshadowed by other fighters of the era. Only a limited number were produced, and it did not see significant combat use during World War II.
