Breathing Apparatus
A breathing apparatus is a device that provides breathable air in environments where the air is unsafe or unavailable. It is commonly used in situations like firefighting, underwater diving, and industrial work. The apparatus typically includes a mask or helmet that covers the face and a tank that holds compressed air or oxygen.
There are different types of breathing apparatus, such as self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and rebreathers. SCBA is often used by firefighters, allowing them to breathe clean air while battling fires. Rebreathers recycle exhaled air, making them useful for longer underwater dives, as they reduce the need for large air tanks.
