Brazilian Communist Party
The Brazilian Communist Party (PCB) was founded in 1922 and is one of the oldest political parties in Brazil. It emerged from the influence of the Russian Revolution and aimed to promote Marxist-Leninist principles. The party has historically advocated for workers' rights, social justice, and the establishment of a socialist state in Brazil.
Throughout its history, the PCB faced significant challenges, including repression during the military dictatorship from 1964 to 1985. Despite these obstacles, the party has continued to participate in Brazilian politics, often aligning with other leftist movements and contributing to discussions on social and economic reforms.
