Brasilia
Brasilia is the capital city of Brazil, officially inaugurated in 1960. Designed by the architect Oscar Niemeyer and urban planner Lúcio Costa, it was built to promote the development of the interior of the country. The city is known for its modernist architecture and unique airplane-like layout.
The city is home to several important government buildings, including the Palácio da Alvorada, the official residence of the President, and the National Congress of Brazil. Brasilia is also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its innovative urban planning and architectural significance.
