Brandaris Lighthouse
Brandaris Lighthouse is located on the island of Terschelling in the Netherlands. It is the oldest lighthouse in the country, first built in 1594. The lighthouse stands at a height of 54 meters and features a distinctive black and white striped design, making it a recognizable landmark for sailors navigating the Wadden Sea.
The lighthouse has undergone several renovations over the years, with the current structure completed in 1881. It remains an active navigational aid, guiding ships safely along the coast. Visitors can climb to the top for panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and the North Sea.
