Bradbury Dam
Bradbury Dam is a concrete gravity dam located in California, specifically on the Santa Ynez River. Completed in 1953, it was built to provide water storage and flood control for the surrounding areas. The dam creates the Lake Cachuma reservoir, which supplies water to local communities and supports agricultural needs.
The dam stands approximately 200 feet tall and spans about 1,200 feet across. It plays a crucial role in managing water resources in the region, especially during dry seasons. Additionally, Bradbury Dam is part of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation projects aimed at enhancing water supply and conservation efforts.
