Bornean Bristlehead
The Bornean Bristlehead is a unique bird species found exclusively in the rainforests of Borneo. It belongs to the family Pityriaseidae and is known for its distinctive bristle-like feathers on its head. This small bird typically measures about 20 centimeters in length and has a striking black and yellow plumage, making it easily recognizable.
Bornean Bristleheads are social creatures, often seen in small groups. They primarily feed on fruits, insects, and small invertebrates, foraging in the dense foliage of their forest habitat. Their conservation status is currently listed as vulnerable due to habitat loss and deforestation in Borneo.
