The Boomslang is a highly venomous snake native to sub-Saharan Africa. It is known for its distinctive green or brown coloration, which helps it blend into its leafy habitat. Adult Boomslangs can grow up to 2 meters (6.5 feet) in length and have large, bulging eyes that provide excellent vision. This snake primarily feeds on small birds and their eggs, using its agility to hunt in trees. The Boomslang's venom is hemotoxic, affecting blood clotting and potentially leading to severe internal bleeding. Despite its dangerous venom, it is generally shy and avoids human contact.
