Booker T. Jones
Booker T. Jones is an American musician, songwriter, and record producer, best known as the founder and frontman of the band Booker T. & the MG's. Born on November 12, 1944, in Memphis, Tennessee, he played a significant role in shaping the sound of Southern soul and R&B music during the 1960s. His instrumental hit "Green Onions" became a classic and showcased his skills on the Hammond organ.
Throughout his career, Jones has collaborated with various artists, including Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, and Neil Young. He has received multiple awards, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992.
