Book of Psalms
The Book of Psalms is a collection of religious songs, prayers, and poems found in the Bible. It consists of 150 individual psalms, traditionally attributed to various authors, including King David. The psalms express a wide range of emotions, from joy and praise to sorrow and lamentation, reflecting the human experience in relation to the divine.
Psalms are often used in both personal and communal worship, serving as a source of comfort and inspiration for many believers. They are divided into five sections, each concluding with a doxology, and are frequently recited or sung in religious services across different faith traditions.
