Bontebok
The Bontebok is a medium-sized antelope native to South Africa, specifically found in the Fynbos biome. It has a distinctive appearance, characterized by its dark brown coat with white markings on the face, legs, and back. Bonteboks are herbivores, primarily grazing on grasses and shrubs.
This species is known for its social behavior, often forming small herds. The Bontebok was once on the brink of extinction due to habitat loss and hunting, but conservation efforts have helped its population recover. Today, it is protected in several reserves, including the Bontebok National Park.
