Bonin Islands

They are part of Tokyo Metropolis and are known for their unique biodiversity, featuring many endemic species of plants and animals. The islands are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to their ecological significance.
The largest island in the group is Chichijima, which serves as the administrative center. The Bonin Islands have a subtropical climate, making them a popular destination for eco-tourism and outdoor activities such as hiking and diving. The islands are also home to a small population, primarily engaged in fishing and tourism.
