Bolesław II Śmiały
Bolesław II Śmiały, also known as Bolesław II the Bold, was a Polish king who reigned from 1076 to 1081. He was the son of Bolesław I Chrobry and became the first Polish monarch to be crowned king. His reign was marked by military campaigns to expand Polish territory and strengthen the kingdom.
Bolesław II's rule faced challenges, including conflicts with the Holy Roman Empire and internal strife among the nobility. His aggressive policies and disputes led to his eventual downfall, resulting in his exile in 1081. He died in 1086, leaving a complex legacy in Polish history.
