Bob-Whites
Bob-Whites, also known as Northern Bobwhite Quail, are small, ground-dwelling birds native to North America. They are easily recognized by their distinctive call, which sounds like "bob-white." These birds typically inhabit open fields, grasslands, and shrubby areas, where they forage for seeds, insects, and berries.
Bob-Whites are social creatures, often found in coveys, which are groups that provide safety in numbers. They are known for their strong flying abilities, especially when startled. Conservation efforts are important for maintaining their populations, as habitat loss poses a significant threat to their survival.
