Bluebird K7
The Bluebird K7 is a jet-powered hydroplane designed by British engineer Donald Campbell. It was built in the 1950s to break water speed records, featuring a sleek, aerodynamic shape and a powerful engine. The craft is made primarily of aluminum and is known for its striking blue color.
In 1964, the Bluebird K7 achieved a record speed of 276.33 mph on Coniston Water in England. Unfortunately, during a subsequent attempt in 1967, the craft crashed, leading to Campbell's tragic death. The wreck was later recovered, and the Bluebird K7 remains an iconic symbol of speed and engineering innovation.
