Blue Pond
Blue Pond, located in Biei, Hokkaido, Japan, is renowned for its striking blue color, which is caused by the natural minerals in the water and the reflection of the sky. The pond was formed as a result of a dam construction project in the 1980s, and it has since become a popular tourist destination, attracting visitors with its unique beauty.
Surrounded by a forest of white birch trees, Blue Pond offers picturesque views throughout the year. The area is also part of the Shirogane Blue Pond and is often photographed for its surreal landscape, especially during autumn when the foliage contrasts with the vibrant blue water.
